Dexter Fowler gave the Cubs a brief 3-2 lead in the third inning with his first home run of the spring. Rex Brothers couldn’t throw strikes, uncorked four wild pitches in the fourth inning that gave the Diamondbacks the lead as the Cubs dropped Sunday’s exhibition game in Scottsdale.
Sunday’s game changed in the fourth inning. The Cubs scored a pair of runs in the second inning on doubles by Tommy La Stella (1-for-2 with a double and a RBI) and Juan Perez (1-for-2 with a double and a RBI) and tied the game at two.
