Do Cubs dig the slider? They did in 2016

Tommy La Stella, who is—after the late James Gandolfini and actor Robert Sean Leonard—the pride of Westwood, N.J., did a lot of things right in 2016.

While he will mostly be remembered for not reporting to Triple-A Iowa in early August after being designated for assignment, La Stella did enough to stick around in the organization after the impasse ended.
