CHICAGO -- Ian Happ started in left field on Thursday, and he has now played all three outfield positions and handled them well. The question the Cubs need to decide is what to do with the rookie when Jason Heyward is ready to come off the disabled list.
Heyward, who has been sidelined with a sprained right index finger, was to make his first rehab start on Thursday with Class A South Bend. He's eligible to come off as soon as he's ready. Happ has made quite an impression since he was called up on Saturday, hitting two home runs in his four games entering Thursday's game against the Reds.
