After just two starts, Jameson Taillon is headed back to the IL with a groin issue.
Jameson Taillon's return to the Chicago Cubs' starting rotation was short-lived. After just two starts back from a right calf strain, the veteran right-hander is headed back to the injured list - this time, for a left groin strain that cut his start short on Sunday against the Angels.
Eyebrows raised when manager Craig Counsell pulled Taillon after five innings of one-run ball and just 62 pitches, but most chalked it up to a quick hook as opposed to injury.
