The Cubs have made another roster move, giving them more pitching depth before their second game against the Yankees.
Brooks Kriske will replace Jordan Wicks in the Cubs’ bullpen, giving Craig Counsell another fresh arm to use at Yankee Stadium this weekend.
Kriske has made one appearance this season, throwing two innings of scoreless ball against the Reds in late May. He has a 3.13 ERA with the Iowa Cubs, striking out 52 batters in only 31.2 innings.
After a rough game against the Yankees on Friday night, Wicks will return to Iowa until starting pitching help is needed again.
