In all the hubbub and furor about whether or not to offer Javy Baez a Lake Michigan-sized boatload of money, I hope the Cubs haven’t lost sight of what the affectionately-nicknamed duo of Bryzzo is doing right now.
At first and third, the infield corners, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo are leading the Cubs back to respectability.

Bryant is hitting everything on the nose while playing well in whatever position he’s inserted into. Yes, he’s best known as a third baseman but he can play first, and he shines in the outfield too.
