Cubs return to Oakland for first time since all the way back in 2013

The Cubs don’t get out to Oakland very often. In fact, this weekend’s series will only be their second time ever playing regular season games at the (Your Sponsor Here) Coliseum, and just their fourth time facing the A’s since interleague play began.

The other time the Cubs played in M.C. Hammer’s old home was just three seasons ago, when the immortal 2013 Cubs lost two of three to Oakland from July 2-4.

Who can forget that series? *Quickly searches game logs from Baseball-Reference.*

Back then, the A’s were a first-place team and the Cubs a fourth-place one, 15 1/2 games out of first place.
