Cardinals Out on Jason Heyward, Cubs Reportedly One of Teams Still in Play
According to reports from Ken Rosenthal and Derrick Goold, the Cardinals are out of the running for Jason Heyward. Goold reported Heyward has made a decision and the Cubs are very much in play.
Goold indicated the Cardinals were aggressive with Heyward but were not able to re-sign him.
Jon Heyman reported the Cubs are still in the mix for Heyward with a decision coming soon. The Nationals are discouraged in their pursuit of Heyward.
The Angels are believed to be one of the teams still in on Heyward.
