SAN FRANCISCO – The Cubs are set to open the 2026 regular season at home and finish in Boston. Major League Baseball released the tentative schedule for next year on Tuesday.
For the first time in three years, the Cubs will play their first regular-season series at Wrigley Field, hosting the Nationals for three games on March 26, 28 and 29. They remain at home for a three-game set against the Angels, before starting their road schedule with a trip to Cleveland.
Next season marks the fourth year of the balanced schedule, which has each team face the 29 other major-league clubs for at least one series in the season.
