Cubs re-sign RHP Andury Acevedo to a Minor League Contract
The Cubs re-signed one of the young arms that was in the system last season. RHP Andury Acevedo has returned to the Cubs on a minor league contract two days after he was outrighted off the 40-man roster to Triple-A Iowa and elected free agency.
Acevedo inked a minor league deal with the Cubs last November and was immediately added to the 40-man roster. Acevedo spent half of Spring Training in big league camp before he was optioned to Triple-A Iowa.
