The Cubs put left-hander Shota Imanaga on the 15-day injured list Monday, after he strained his left hamstring in his start against the Brewers the day before.

In a corresponding move, the team recalled reliever Gavin Hollowell, but they have not yet announced a plan for covering Imanaga’s next start day.

“We’re talking about Saturday, and it’s Monday,” manager Craig Counsell said. “So we haven’t made any decisions about that at this point. I really don’t think we have to make a decision until the off day.”

The Cubs have a day off Thursday before a three-game series against the Mets in New York over the weekend.
