The Cubs are close to signing pitcher Kendall Graveman. 78 career starts, 4.38 ERA. Been with Oakland the last 4 years

Graveman—28 years old—is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery, which he had last season with the Athletics.
He could develop into a solid player if his recovery goes well. And the Cubs have protected themselves as well, as the deal is for a low salary and has a team-option.
