Left-handed reliever Taylor Rogers has been on three different National League Central teams in the span of two days, landing with the Cubs on Thursday, according to multiple reports.
On Wednesday, Rogers was part of the return package in the deal that sent third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes to the Reds.
The Pirates then flipped Rogers in a deal with the Cubs. The return was not immediately clear.
Rogers owns a 2.45 ERA in 40 appearances with the Reds. He, along with veteran right-hander Andrew Kittredge help strengthen a bullpen that has wavered this past month.
