It wasn’t until the 33rd game of the 2025 MLB season that the Cubs met their divisional rivals, the Milwaukee Brewers.
And in that 33rd game, the Cubs made a strong statement that they want to take the NL Central crown away from the Brewers, who took it three of the last four years.
Michael Busch hit a grand slam and Pete Crow-Armstrong homered twice, and the Cubs got strong pitching from Ben Brown and Chris Flexen in a 10-0 victory in front of a Milwaukee crowd that, the way it sounded on TV, lived up to its Wrigley North reputation.
