The 5 year old inside of me freaks out every time I walk into the clubhouse and see my name on this uniform. Growing up on the north side of Chicago I have been a spectator at Wrigley Field for probably 100 games; over the past 8 seasons of my major league career I’ve come in as a visiting player and got to play against my childhood team countless times (including one heartbreak in 2016). Finally, it comes full circle and I get to wear Cubby pinstripes and help this team on our journey to win another World Series for the city of Chicago and I couldn’t be more excited or ready for this opportunity I’ve waited my entire life for!
