The Cubs’ Marquee Sports Network will move to Comcast’s Ultimate programming tier after the season, the cable company said Monday.
The Sun-Times has reported that Marquee would remain on the Popular tier through the season, even though fellow regional sports network Chicago Sports Network began appearing on the Ultimate tier June 6. Thanks to the Cubs’ strong season, fans won’t have to deal with the change until the offseason.
“We’re beginning to notify customers that effective Oct. 1, and after MLB regular season, Marquee Sports Network will transition to the Ultimate TV level of service,” a Comcast spokesperson said.
