Just over six weeks ago, I spoke with Northeastern head coach Jim Madigan about one of Vancouver's most intriguing prospects, Adam Gaudette.
At the time, Gaudette, a junior centre for the Huskies, was preparing for what many considered to be a pivotal year in his development. The Canucks' fifth-round pick in 2015, Gaudette had grown from a skinny, undersized USHL prospect to one of the better players in the NCAA.
This season, he's become one of the best.
Madigan had high hopes for the 21-year-old, calling him “a special kid” that was destined for the NHL.
