Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (Simulated Game 47): Cubs 4, Padres 2 – Late Home Runs Fuel Win in San Diego

After dropping the first two games of their four-game set, the Chicago Cubs (30-17) bounced back on Saturday thanks to big home runs by Willson Contreras, Javier Báez, and Ian Happ. They earned a 4-2 extra-inning victory on the road over the San Diego Padres (22-24), via MLB The Show 20.

Yu Darvish was outstanding for the Cubs just a day after Kyle Hendricks allowed six earned runs in the first two innings. The only true blemishes for Darvish against the Padres were a 3rd-inning solo homer from Jurickson Profar and a Trent Grisham RBI single in the 7th that followed a double by Fernando Tatís Jr.
