The Cubs and Braves met for the second game of their series on a lovely Tuesday night at Truist Park. It was a very close contest most of the way before Chicago had a much-needed big inning to put away the victory.
The North Siders loaded the bases with nobody out against Spencer Strider in the top of the 1st inning, but only came away with a sacrifice fly by Pete Crow-Armstrong to go up 1-0. Cade Horton continued his excellent pitching in the second half, throwing three shutout frames.
PCA doubled the Cubs’ lead with a bloop single in the top of the 4th inning.
