Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (9/5/19): Cubs 10, Brewers 5 – Schwarber Grand Slam Fuels Win

The game was back and forth early, with Willson Contreras right in the middle of the Cubs scoring. He drove in the Cubs’ first two runs. The first run coming when he doubled to left in the 1st inning to drive in Ben Zobrist. He then hit a solo home run in the 4th inning to tie the game at 2-2.

While things stayed close early, with both teams scoring two runs in the 5th, the big blow came off the bat of Kyle Schwarber in the top of the 6th when he crushed a grand slam half way to Kenosha off Drew Pomeranz.
