The Cubs got a huge performance by first baseman Michael Busch to beat the Cardinals Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field. The victory assured Chicago home-field advantage in their Wild Card matchup with the Padres.
Busch began his big afternoon with a solo home run against Michael McGreevy to lead off the bottom of the 1st inning. Jameson Taillon did a great job for the North Siders, with his only mistake coming on a game-tying homer by Nolan Arenado in the top of the 4th.
The Cubs first baseman hit his second homer against McGreevy in the bottom of the 5th, a two-run blast that gave the home team a 3-1 advantage.
