There were many possible outcomes to Sunday’s game at Miller Park. Perhaps the least likely of those was an Alec Mills no-hitter, but baseball is always full of surprises.
Both starters were sharp early on and the game was scoreless through three innings. Sloppy Brewers defense led to a big inning for the Cubs against Adrian Houser in the 4th. Two errors combined with run-scoring hits from Jason Heyward, Victor Caratini, and Ian Happ gave the road team a 5-0 lead.
Chicago turned the game into a rout in the 5th inning thanks to some Javy Báez magic.
