Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (9/12/23): Rockies 6, Cubs 4 – Kris Bryant Revenge Game

The Cubs lost an incredibly sloppy game to the Rockies at Coors Field Tuesday night. They gave Colorado free runners with walks and made several costly baserunning mistakes to short-circuit potential rallies.

Chicago grabbed a lead in the 2nd inning when Dansby Swanson tripled and came home on a single by Seiya Suzuki. After a Yan Gomes hit, Pete Crow-Armstrong grounded into fielder’s choice to pick up his first career RBI and put his team up by two runs.

Cubs starter Javier Assad appears to be tiring down the stretch and he struggled Tuesday, finally running out of steam in the bottom of the 4th inning.
