The Cubs and Braves played the deciding contest of their three-game set on a very pleasant Wednesday night at Truist Park. Chicago manufactured some offense and got great work from the bullpen to win the series.
Atlanta struck first when Nacho Alvarez Jr. hit an RBI double off of returning starter Jameson Taillon in the bottom of the 3rd. Chris Sale dominated early, but the North Siders got to him in the 4th with a game-tying home run by Carson Kelly and a run-scoring single by Justin Turner to give the road squad a 2-1 lead.
