Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (8/19/25, Game 1): Cubs 6, Brewers 4 – Big Game for Caissie

The Cubs and Brewers met in the in the second attempt at a day-night doubleheader on an overcast Tuesday afternoon at Wrigley Field after Monday’s nightcap got washed out. Chicago got a huge performance from their rookie outfielder to get the twin bill off to a winning start.

Owen Caissie put the North Siders in front with a two-run single off of Chad Patrick in the bottom of the 1st. Willi Castro hit a huge three-run homer against Patrick in the 3rd inning to give the home team a 5-0 lead.

Milwaukee began chipping away on starter Matthew Boyd with a solo home run off the bat of Christian Yelich in the 4th.
