Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (8/13/25): Cubs 4, Blue Jays 1 – Horton Keeps Rolling in Win

The Cubs and Blue Jays got together in the second game of their series north of the border at Rogers Center Wednesday night. Chicago got an outstanding starting pitching performance and just enough offense to earn a victory.

The North Siders took the lead when Michael Busch hit a solo home run off of Kevin Gausman in the top of the 3rd. Cade Horton was very sharp yet again and kept Toronto hitless through the first five frames. Matt Shaw stayed hot with another solo shot that gave the road team a 2-0 advantage in the 5th.
