Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (8/10/25): Cardinals 3, Cubs 2 – Offense Vanishes Again in One-Run Loss

The Cubs and the Cardinals met in the finale of their series after an hour-long rain delay at Busch Stadium Sunday night. It was a close contest, and in the end, Chicago didn’t execute when they needed to and St. Louis took a one-run victory.

The Cards went ahead in the bottom of the 3rd when catcher Pedro Páges hit a two-run homer off of Shu014dta Imanaga. The North Siders got those runs back when Matt Shaw hit a two-run shot against Sonny Gray in the top of the 5th.
