The Cubs and wrapped up their series against the Twins at a cloudy Target Field Thursday afternoon. Chicago was determined to create a different outcome after two consecutive defeats and played excellent baseball in a comfortable victory.
Unlike the previous two games, it was the North Siders that went in front early when Nico Hoerner hit an RBI single off of Chris Paddack in the top of the 2nd. Pete Crow-Armstrong snapped out of a little slump with a two-run homer to center that gave the road team a 3-0 lead in the 3rd.
