Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (6/25/25): Cubs 8, Cardinals 0 – Boyd, Bats Bash Birds

The scuffling Cubs battled the Cardinals on Wednesday night on another hot night at Busch Stadium. Chicago was determined to snap their three-game losing streak, scoring early and often en route to a decisive victory.

Ian Happ started the game with a bang, hitting a solo home run off of Erick Fedde on the very first pitch of the game. The North Siders kept it up in the 2nd inning with an RBI single by Michael Busch and a two-run homer by Reese McGuire to make it 4-0.

Matthew Boyd was outstanding on Wednesday and gave up very little to the Cardinals in six strong frames.
