The Cubs bounced back nicely against the Giants at Wrigley on Monday after being shut out in Milwaukee on Sunday. Chicago used a five-run 6th inning to turn what was a close game into a blowout victory in the series opener.
Ian Happ gave the North Siders the lead with a two-run homer off of Landen Roupp in the bottom of the 3rd. San Francisco answered back against Matthew Boyd in the 4th inning when Luis Matos hit a two-run shot to even the score at 2-2.
Dansby Swanson put the Cubs back on top with a two-run single in the bottom of the frame to make it 4-2.
