The Cubs and Reds met for the rubber match of their series at the Great American Ball Park onSunday afternoon. The North Siders stumbled early again, but the bats came to life in the late innings to take the game and series in impressive fashion.
Pete Crow-Armstrong singled home a pair of runners against Nick Lodolo in the top of the 1st to give Chicago a 2-0 lead. Ben Brown ran into major problem in the bottom of the frame after he walked the first two batters. Austin Hays, Jose Trevino, and Will Benson each had RBI singles, followed by a wild pitch to give Cincinnati a 4-2 advantage.
