The Cubs bounced back very nicely from a tough loss in Monday’s series opener, pounding the Marlins Tuesday night at loanDepot Park. Chicago exploded for eight runs in the top of the 6th to turn a close game into a rout.
Kyle Tucker got the North Siders on the board in the opening inning with a solo home run off of Ryan Weathers. Miami got that run back in the bottom of the 3rd when Nick Fortes hit a home run against Jameson Taillon.
The Cubs loaded the bases with nobody out against reliever Calvin Faucher in the top of the 6th inning.
