Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (5/18/25): Cubs 6, White Sox 2 – Cubs Sweep Sox at Wrigley

The Cubs and White Sox met in the finale of their three game series at Wrigley Field Sunday afternoon. The North Soders turned on the offense in the middle innings and pulled away to finish the sweep.

They grabbed the lead against starter Jonathan Cannon in the opening inning when Pete Crow-Armstrong tripled and came in to score on a Seiya Suzuki sacrifice fly. The Sox evened things when Miguel Vargas took Colin Rea deep for a solo shot in the 4th.

Crow-Armstrong doubled in the 6th inning and Vidal Bruján used a nifty slide at the plate to score the go-ahead run after an ill-advised throw to second base.
