These recaps are starting to become very repetitive. Another game, another exhibition of total inability for Cubs pitching to get anyone out. Friday night it was the Brewers’ turn to feast on the buffet line that is the Chicago pitching staff.
The home team piled up 13 runs, including eight off of starter Jose Quintana, who had only allowed 13 total runs to the Brewers in 11 previous starts. Another late Cubs rally came up short and the road team’s record fell to 1-6. (Box score)
