Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (2/27/20): Cubs 1, Rangers 13 – No Rea of Sunshine in Blowout

Colin Rea didn’t lose his shot at the Cubs’ rotation Thursday afternoon, but he sure as hell didn’t do anything to state his case. After loading the bases with a single and two walks to open the bottom of the 1st, the reigning Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Year gave up a grand slam to Rougned Odor. Man, that stunk.

It was all Rangers from there, as the home team surprised the Cubs with a 7-spot in their last at-bat to put the fake game out of reach. (Box score)

Why the Cubs Lost

When the road team scores first, their odds of securing a victory jump to 69%.
