Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (10/11/25): Brewers 3, Cubs 1 – Bats Go Quiet in Season-Ending Loss

The Cubs’ season came to an end Saturday night at the hands of the Brewers in Game 5 of the NLDS. Chicago’s bats went quiet, a problem that plagued them throughout the second half of the season, and Milwaukee hit three solo homers to provide the winning margin.

Drew Pomeranz served as the opener for the North Siders and retired the first two hitters before William Contreras lifted a home run just over the left field wall to put the Crew on top 1-0. The Cubs answered immediately against Jacob Misiorowski in the top of the 2nd with a solo homer off the bat of Seiya Suzuki that evened the score.
