Jhon Romero was the player the Cubs sent to the Nationals for Brandon Kintzler. Romero is a 23-year-old right-hander that the Cubs signed out of Colombia in 2105. He had a great stretch in late June and most of July in Myrtle Beach. As the Pelicans closer, he allowed just one run in 12.1 innings over 8 appearances and recorded five saves in five attempts from June 17 to July 22. His two most recent appearances were poor, however.
