I-Cubs starter Trevor Miller allowed five runs, on five hits, over 3.2 innings. One of the five runs was unearned. He struck out four and walked one.

The loss went to Dakota Mekkes, who was called in to relieve Miller in the fourth inning and failed to retire a single batter. Mekkes gave up two runs on two hits, including a two-run home run. He walked three.

Dixon Machado hit a solo home run in the seventh inning, his 16th of the season. Machado was 2 for 5 with a double and the home run.
