The bad news in this game is that starter Adbert Alzolay gave up five runs on six hits and exited after 3.2 innings with an apparent injury. Alzolay walked five and struck out six. There is no word about the injury to Alzolay and it wasn’t clear from the video what he might have hurt, although he did seem to be shaking both his right leg and his left, non-pitching shoulder.
The I-Cubs won this game with a six-run bottom of the eighth, so the win went to Dillon Maples, who threw a scoreless top of the eighth inning.
