The I-Cubs wasted an excellent start by Matt Swarmer, who allowed just one unearned run on just one hit over 6+ innings. The run came after he left the game in the seventh inning. Swarmer struck out seven and walked three.
Marcus Walden gave up two solo home runs, one in the eighth and one in the ninth, to allow Omaha to send the game into extras. He gave up two runs on three hits over two innings.
