The Iowa Cubs were drenched by the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals), 10-3.
Adbert Alzolay had a rehab start here and it didn’t go that well. Alzolay allowed four runs in three hits over two innings. Two of the runs came on a home run by Bobby Witt Jr. in the first inning. Alzolay walked one, hit one batter and struck out three. He threw 38 pitches and 23 of them were strikes.
Right fielder Greg Deichmann had a two-run triple in the eighth inning and then scored on a ground out by first baseman Alfonso Rivas to account for all of the I-Cubs runs.
