Chicago Cubs Minor League Wrap: April 7

Colin Rea started and went 4.2 innings. He allowed three runs on five hits. Rea walked two and struck out two.

The win went to Ryan Williams because Rea didn’t go five innings. Williams loaded the bases on two hits and a walk in the sixth inning, but got out of the jam with no runs scoring. Williams struck out one over his 1.1 innings of work.

Dillon Maples relieved Williams and pitched one inning. He walked the first batter he faced, but then he struck out the next three, all swinging.
