Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs were swept in a doubleheader by the Louisville Bats (Reds), 9-6 and 4-1.
Julio Teheran made his Cubs debut in game one and did OK over the first four innings by allowing just one run in the second and one more in the third. But the wheels came off in the fifth inning and he exited after allowing five runs on five hits over 4.1 innings. Teheran struck out two, walked one and hit one batter.
Richard Lovelady relieved Teheran in the fifth inning and got the loss.
