While there’s no question the Chicago Cubs are looking to upgrade this team that unexpectedly made it to the NLCS, it does come as a bit of a surprise that they could be looking to upgrade at catcher. While not the strongest on the roster, the depth there is adequate while they look to fill centerfield and add pitching depth. An upgrade behind the plate would be welcome, just not at the cost of allowing some of the other team needs to go unfulfilled.
The Cubs have made some strong trades in recent years, and a few more might me made this offseason as they look to strengthen up this team.
