Pretty easy game to summarize, Baez does it all. Not only did El Mago go 4-5 with three extra base hits (two homers including a grand slam), but he turned an unconventional double play and also looked very fluid playing third base. After some really ugly swings against Kenta Maeda on Monday night, Joe Maddon could have easily given Baez the night off and I think if Kris Bryant was healthy, that may have happened. Luckily it did not and Baez carried the Cubs to victory.
The double play he turned in the second inning saved a potentially big inning.
