It’s Aug. 11 and the Cubs have 30 more wins than they have losses and now they start a four-game date with the St. Louis Cardinals, who are now 12 games back in the NL Central.
The Cardinals are currently tied with Miami for the second wild card spot, and thus, the right to face the Cubs in the divisional round.
So it’s a big series for them too, as early August series go.
