Boy, the news just keeps getting better for Anthony Rizzo. After having his 2020 option picked up and then earning his third Gold Glove, the philanthropic first baseman announced a big donation to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, FL. As the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation shared Tuesday, the $1 million gift actually comes in the form of two separate endowments that will ensure resources are available well into the future.

Rizzo has always been very active with local hospitals in Chicago and his native Florida, focusing on pediatric cancer after his own battle with it several years ago.
