Alex Bregman is one of the best hitters left on the free agent market. Kyle Tucker and maybe even Cody Bellinger will earn more, but Bregman’s track record speaks for itself. He has a career 133 wRC+ with 209 home runs over his 10 career seasons, and he has also displayed excellent plate discipline.
Bregman had three main suitors last winter, with the Cubs offering him a four-year contract and the Tigers offering six years. He eventually signed with the Red Sox, but opted out of that contract last month to test free agency again.
