NEW YORK – There’s still a lot of unknowns with Zach LaVine and the left knee management program he’s been on since the start of the regular season, but Billy Donovan offered up some further clarity on Tuesday.
According to the Bulls coach, while the medical staff does monitor all the load numbers for LaVine each game, it’s not about his miles run and steps taken necessarily.
“I think the thing for him is it’s the cumulative,’’ Donovan said. “That’s really where I think they’re concerned, like the cumulative build-up of things. Like all of a sudden he could be totally fine today, come out of this game totally fine, and let’s say he plays tomorrow, and then he can wake up the next day and be in some discomfort.
