Elena Delle Donne was nearly unstoppable in June, and she was recognized for it Tuesday.
The Sky forward was named the Eastern Conference's Player of the Month for June, the WNBA announced Tuesday. In 10 games Delle Donne averaged 28.7 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.6 blocks, all of which led the conference. She shot better than 51 percent from the field and 97 percent from the free throw line. That 10-game span to begin the season - the Sky went 5-5 - included her making 58 straight free throws, eight shy of the WNBA record.
She currently leads the league in scoring, with her 27.
